Our first "teaser dinner" was held Tuesday 7/28 and was a great success. Guests sampled some of the menu items we plan to serve at Hearty which allowed us to do a little tweaking and experimenting. Dan's version of Surf and Turf (Beef Tenderloin with Fried Oysters and a Housemade BBQ Sauce) seemed to be the most popular choice next to the Tuna Noodle Casserole (Deconstructed; Saffron Cream Egg Noodles, Panko Crusted Ahi, Sauteed Portabellos and Crushed Dried Sweet Peas).
Artichoke Sours (Cynar, Fresh Lemon, Simple Syrup, Egg White) and traditional Brown Derbys (Rittenhouse Rye, Barenjager Honey Liqueur, Fresh Grapefruit) were hugely popular.
